El Verde Inn Accessibility Policy

El Verde Inn, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, aims to offer every visitor a welcoming and inclusive experience. It is important to note, due to the Inn’s construction in the 1980s it is not currently fully wheelchair accessible. However, we are committed to ongoing efforts to improve accessibility; providing ADA compliant rooms, parking, entries and common areas.

Features for Those with Limited Mobility

  • Parking: The Inn provides a convenient handicapped parking space.
  • Entrance: The front entrance is accessible and includes a ramp, for easy access to the main level.
  • Common Areas: The lounge is fully accessible for individuals using wheelchairs. Accessible backdoor exit to the courtyard space including a grapevine trellis and open grass area.

Physical Barriers Include

  • Guest Rooms: Fifty percent of our accommodations are located on the second floor, and unfortunately, the Inn does not have elevator access.
  • Guest Bathrooms: All other standard rooms feature a bathtub and shower combination.
  • Outdoor Common Areas: Fire pit areas require a step up or a step down to access the space.

We work to ensure every guest who wishes to visit can do so regardless of their physical abilities. Among the ways we comply with ADA:

  1. We ensure that individuals with disabilities can make reservations during the same hours and in the same manner as individuals without disabilities.
  2. We have identified and described the features of our property and guest rooms in detail to allow individuals with disabilities to determine whether our property meets their needs.
  3. We ensure that accessible guest rooms are held for use by individuals with disabilities until all other guest rooms of that type have been rented.
  4. We guarantee that the specific rooms, once reserved, are held for the reserving customer. We make reasonable efforts with third-party reservation systems to make all rooms available through at least some of these services and they must provide these third-party services with information concerning the features of the hotel and rooms.
  5. Guests with legitimate service animals as defined in the ADA will be provided access to all areas of the inn afforded to those without service animals.
